Jon Kirk
PUBLIC RELATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS ADVISOR

Jon is a former news, features and travel journalist for the national press, and a multi-award-winning publicist. He cut his teeth on regional magazines and newspapers in the early 2000s before joining the news agency South West News Service (SWNS) where he was awarded the Press Gazette Reporter of the Year for his "professionalism and dedication
to regional journalism".

Following stints at The Sunday Times and the Mirror Group, he re-joined SWNS as its chief reporter before launching the London PR and communications consultancy, Palamedes, in 2009. Outside of work, Jon is a keen climber and mountaineer who says he "misspent" much of his youth "dangling on a rope" in the wilderness.

"Mankind's impact on the planet is real and devastating. We are responsible for and heading towards a human-driven mass extinction event; forests and natural habitats are being destroyed, greenhouse gas emissions are rising, and ocean health is rapidly declining. People for Nature and Peace aims to help counter this catastrophic event by, amongst things, promoting responsible stewardship of the natural world. To achieve this, the charity needs support and I, for one, am pleased to give it."
