To celebrate WORLD RHINO DAY 2022, we brought together two people from opposite sides of the globe who couldn't be more passionate about protecting these glorious and beleaguered wild animals!
Between 2017 and the end of 2021, global rhino numbers declined by a further 1029 individuals. But because rhino populations particularly in India are growing, this summary figure obscures the fact that white rhinos in Southern Africa have suffered huge losses (2025 deaths between 2017 and 2021) and continue to be decimated. The reasons behind these differences have to do with fundamentally different ways of looking at nature and wildlife in these parts of the world. In the end, it all comes down to genuine political will.
